Place the rubber gasket between the push button and the sink counter, then tighten the plastic nut under the sink counter for a watertight seal. - For a 25mm/1.0-inch top switch for garbage disposal, drill a hole with a diameter not narrower than 1-3/8 inches. The countertop or sink top should not be thicker than 2.50 inches. Tighten the plastic nut under the sink counter to ensure a watertight seal.
